The Blackmagic Cinema Camera will be a huge success at Canisius College as students become familiar with this gem. However, there a couple of things to consider when shooting video with the Blackmagic Cinema Camera. When using EF Canon lense be aware that the image circle of the EF-mount lenses, produces a crop factor of 2.4 due to the sensor being slightly smaller than full frame.

That being said a EF-50mm f/1.2l lens is converted into a 120mm lens. Other things to consider when shooting with the Blackmagic Cinema Camera, the large storage and computing power needed to edit footage, rolling shutter factor, battery is not interchangeable, weight with lenses may exceed 10 pounds (not good without tripod support) and not all EF lenses are supported.
Just a couple of things to consider when using the Blackmagic Cinema Camera. Happy Shooting!
